If you didn’t know, Breakfast is the very most important meal of the day. When you eat breakfast, you start your day off right and you won’t have too much unwanted cravings(or be as hungry) throughout your day. For everyone trying to lose weight, go by this saying; Eat breakfast like a king, Lunch like a prince, and Dinner like a commoner. By this saying, I mean Eat a big breakfast, a medium size lunch, and a not so heavy dinner WHILE following the food pyramid(& having small snacks between meals). Does that make sense? Probably not. I’m not a dietitian or anything… but I am going by what works for me.
Here is another quick, yummy and healthy recipe that I got from Eye it, Try it. Again, This recipe will not be the same exact match as the on online. In the picture I added tangerines from looks and to add more fruit into my breakfast.
ON THE GO OATMEAL COOKIE BAKE
Adapted from LiveStrong
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup rolled/old-fashioned oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 medium banana
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg white (or 1/8th cup)
- ~3 tbsp chopped almond (or any nut of your choice)
- ~1/2 tbsp of dark chocolate chips(optional! if you add this, cut the brown sugar in half and only add 1 tbsp of shredded coconut!)
- 2 tbsp shredded coconut (optional)
- 1 tbsp almond milk
Directions:
- In a small, microwave-safe bowl, add all ingredients and mash well until well-incorporated (make sure the banana is mashed; *before I add the oats, I smash everything together until it’s smooth so it’s easier to mix the oats in.)
- Microwave for ~ 1 minute and 30 seconds- 2 minutes
- Flip the bowl upside down onto a plate and the bake should slip right out!
- Top! ***my toppings in the picture are sliced bananas, copped almonds, & shredded coconut
